doubt regarding a4j push

can anybody show an example of using it?

also i want to know if rerender happens all the time even if request is not completely performed.

My requirement is to rerender certain components only when an event has occured,,is this feasible using a4j push ?

Unfortunatelly can't provide the example right now. But about your questions - minimal poll-like request - aren't perform any processing. Only if the event occurs - full ajax request will be sent.
