Checking whether the queue down

Hello All,

I am looking for a way for an MDB to poll whether the queue that it's setup to listen to is down.

How would you recommend implementing this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am pretty much stuck here.

I asked a similar question over at http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=71622. So far it looks like you can do this specifically in JBoss but not generally in other app servers. On the other hand, it doesn't look too difficult.
