1. Re: Metrics for EJB3 Session Bean cannot be found
joe.marques Jun 20, 2009 8:35 AM (in response to yanfengzhang816)Notice that "Method Invocation Time" is a special type of metric. Most metrics are of "measurement", but invocation time is of type "calltime".
Measurement Data Types
* simple data point / single numeric value per collection interval
* shown on monitor>graphs sub-tab (in Jopr 2.2) or monitor>visibility (in earlier releases) automatically
Call Time Data Type
* complex data point / several numeric values per collection interval
* shown on monitor>response sub-tab, but only if calltime data is enabled
** enable this metric through monitor>schedules (in Jopr 2.2) or monitor>configure (in earlier releases)
The documentation states "NOTE: this metric is only available if JBoss EJB3 RC9 Patch 1 or later is being used (a capable version of EJB3 is included with JBossAS 4.2.0.GA or later)". Since you're using 4.3.x, you should be fine. Let me know if you don't see the monitor>response sub-tab appear after you enable this metric.
Note: the correct documentation link for Jopr is http://jopr.org/confluence/display/JOPR2/EJB3+Session+Bean+Service -

I tried and it works fine. No problem. -
3. Re: Metrics for EJB3 Session Bean cannot be found
yanfengzhang816 Jun 25, 2009 12:21 AM (in response to yanfengzhang816)One further question:
Is there any method to generate a report for the Method Invocation Time on a server? -
4. Re: Metrics for EJB3 Session Bean cannot be found
joe.marques Jun 25, 2009 3:40 AM (in response to yanfengzhang816)In the current version of Jopr, Method Invocation Time / Response Time / Call Time metrics can only be viewed one resource at a time. However, when looking at the data, remember that you can adjust the metric display interval to change the "window of data" you want to contribute to the rendered data.
