WebLogic 7 custom MBeans

Does this mean we now can write MBeans for both JBoss & WLS 7? Any reasons why not?

Yeah you should be able to use MBeans with WebLogic.

Though I don't know if they've made it very dependent on their own classes (I haven't looked). There was an interview of Cedric Beust on the serverside.com just recently where he talked about their point of view to JMX and he did mention they were restricting their use somehow to be able to maintain the sanity of their support people. Maybe they restrict you through what interfaces they expose of the server, again I don't know, I haven't looked.
