MBean hot deploy/redeploy and classloading

Hi all,

Good to see the forums are back up. My organisation is just starting to use JBoss. Features like the above seem great but we can't trust or use them as we can find no explanation of how they work, when they should/shouldn't be used etc. Granted there is no technical support and the forums have been down for weeks we *must* understand them before we can use them.

Where might I be able to find more information on 'the big picture' with these features. Scanning the code is not a good way to understand the problems being solved.

Did you read the quickstart guide from the sourceforge download page?

yes but it doesn't explain anything really to do with the hot deploy or the unified classloader architecture. It's an overview ... unless it's changed a lot in the last two weeks ...
