How to get the web based management in JBoss3?

Hi,
I have been working with other appservers and found the web-based administraion available out there and do believe the Jboss does that at 8082,but the way they provide requires the deep understanding.....
There I have found once you try to deploy any appliction you have to provide the path and specify the ClassLoader which should do the Job for you.
If I am having Interest.jar and I want to deploy the EJB from the management console not by dropping the Interest.jar in the Jboss/server/default/deploy how to achieve ?
Hope to get the solution ,it has been very dificult to configure the Jboss.......

Find the jboss.system:service=MainDeployer mbean on 8082
There is an operation with signature deploy(String)
The string is the url of the archive you want to
deploy.

Although I am a newbie to JBOSS (2 days), it appears as though there isn't security around MBeans. It looks like port 8082 is simply open. From any machine, I can unregister JETTY and lose my JSP/Servlet container.....

Can you point me in a direction for securing JMX through the web ?

Use the latest 3.02 with servlet based management console at http://localhost:8080/jmx-console.

You can secure it just like any other web app.

Hi, if I turn on authentication, how can i add user information(i.e. user name and passward)? Is it added via JASS? Is there a simpe way to do it?

There is some config to uncomment from
jmx-console.war/WEB-INF/web.xml
and
jmx-console.war/WEB-INF/jboss-web.xml

Then create a users.properties
me=password
and roles.properties
me=JBossAdmin
in jmx-console.war/

Then change it to something stronger :-)
