JMX 1.2 / JSR 160 support?

Does anyone know if (or when) JBoss supports JMX 1.2 and the JSR 160 early access code?

If not, I'm sure someone here has compared the JSR to the RMI connector that JBoss already has. Could someone give me a quick run down on the differences and possibly the main sticking points for a migration to JSR 160, after completing a project using JBoss' RMI connector?

We are currently implementing jmx1.2 and
jsr160 in jboss4.

It is not complete yet.

I believe JSR160 can be used similary to the
RMI connector.

I haven't looked in detail, but I think you
will be able to lookup the connector in jndi,
but it will implement MBeanServerConnection
instead of RemoteMBeanServer

Will JSR 160 be supported in JBoss 4?
I tried to use it in the current RC1 and failed.

According to Dimitris' post at http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=51803, JMX 1.2 is supported by JBoss since version 3.2.5. And according to the attribute SpecificationVersion of the MBean JMImplementation:type=MBeanServerDelegate, JBoss 4.0.0 implements JMX 1.2 as well.

JSR160 will be added down the line, perhaps by 4.0.2.

Until that happens, it is possible to use the reference implementation of JSR 160 on top of the JBoss implementation of JMX 1.2. Only downside: both the client and the server have to run the JBoss JMX 1.2 implementation.
