Check JBoss is running

Hello,
I am looking for an ANT Task that checks if JBoss is running. This is needed for a kind of nightly build, where we deploy new libs and also new EJBs to JBoss while it is still not running. Then we are going to start JBoss and then the UNIT Tests should run. I know that I could use the sleep target, but the time is not the same on every machine.

Any suggestions?

Write any piece of Java code as an ANT task that attempts to connect to one of the services you know must be running in your configuration for it to operate correctly. Java RMI, HTTP etc.

i would use the ant condition task to check conditions like socket available or http successful.
