rerender: action should no longer be disabled

Hello,

We're using an a4j:commandLink that re-renders a t:commandLink. In this rerender, the disabled state goes from true to false. This is reflected in the re-render. However the t:commandLink does not function; the action never gets triggered.

The backing bean is session scoped.

We're not entirely sure why this action does not become valid. Any light that can be shed on this topic or assistance anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

t:commandLink (as well as h:commandLink) is not designed to be rendered outside of its own form.
