1. Re: MBean waiting for Webapp - Deployment
juha Sep 12, 2003 9:02 AM (in response to jkressin)You're using jboss.web domain, check the jboss.j2ee domain instead and try to locate your WAR deployment there.

juha Sep 12, 2003 9:08 AM (in response to jkressin)Should have said jboss.management.local domain, something similar to
J2EEApplication=null,J2EEServer=Local,j2eeType=WebModule,name=<WAR NAME HERE> -
3. Re: MBean waiting for Webapp - Deployment
juha Sep 12, 2003 9:09 AM (in response to jkressin)Full domain name of course:
jboss.management.local:J2EEApplication=null,J2EEServer=Local,j2eeType=WebModule,name=<WAR NAME HERE> -

5. Re: MBean waiting for Webapp - Deployment
jbechter Sep 19, 2003 12:16 PM (in response to jkressin)I have been struggling with this as well. I have an ear file containing several ejbs and 3 wars. I've created a sar with two scheduling tasks and created the dependency on a war exactly as described above. If I exclude the tag the mbean starts but the task fails because the web app it needs to talk to has not yet been deployed. If I include the tag the scheduler mbean is created but never starts even after the web app is deployed (I can start it manually from the jmx-console). Am I missing something else?
jboss.management.local:J2EEApplication=neorsd.ear,J2EEServer=Local,j2eeType=WebModule,name=cm.war -

mcorey Apr 7, 2005 8:17 PM (in response to jkressin)I'm seeing this exact issue with JBoss 3.2.7 (I realize the original thread is an old one)... is there a different way of doing this, or is this a known issue when trying to put a dependancy on a war that lives inside an ear?

7. Re: MBean waiting for Webapp - Deployment
thl-mot Jun 13, 2005 9:00 AM (in response to jkressin)As described in http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=65077
I found out, that the web-module mbeans is registered, but its state never changes to started, although the web-module can be accessed by the web browser.
I assume that dependencies on services need the state "startet" to satisfy the dependency entry of demanding mbean.
Is it possible to create dependencies that base on the state "registered" insteand of "started" -
8. Re: MBean waiting for Webapp - Deployment
dimitris Jun 13, 2005 9:15 AM (in response to jkressin)Dependencies currently work for CREATED and STARTED states.
If you think this is a bug, and you have a testcase or usage scenario that proves this, post a bug report in JIRA please. -

thl-mot Jun 15, 2005 4:57 AM (in response to jkressin)Ok it no bug. See http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=BarrierController how to create dependencies on services that do not conform to the JBoss lifecycle model.
