Scheduler and remote entity beans

Is there a way to access an entity bean just like I would within a servlet? I would imagine that the scheduler service runs outside of any containers, so how would I get an initial context and lookup home interfaces? Are there examples I could see?

And would datasources work the same way?

Have your scheduler invoke an MBean that does the lookup and invocations for you... ?
