AttributeNotFoundException

I've created an mbean with a long (primitive) attribute. I notice when I try and update the attribute using the JBOSS JMX console more than 5 times (hitting apply changes button), I geta javax.management.AttributeNotFoundException: Writable attribute ...

exception being thrown. I can't seem to figure this out. Any insight anyone? Thanks.
