JBOss start up class issue

Hi all,

I want to add a startup class which should be loaded when the jboss starts up. I did some research

Which says create mbean and add it jboss-service.xml file( not sure which location).

I am using ear deployment. The class which I want o make the start up class resides in ear file under /lib directory.

I am using jboss-4.2.1.GA.



I tried to put the MBean as service in jboss-4.2.0.GA\server\servicelink\conf\ jboss-service.xml

but got no class

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for JbossStartUp

You should place the classes used by the mebean and the mbean info in a sar archive - see http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/ExampleHelloWorldService for an example.

Is it possible to refer the class in in ear directory.Beacue this class invokes other classes in ear file..

Try this. Place your mbean classes into the ear file (into an existing jar file or into a new jar file - don't forget to add it to the application.xml). Put your mbean description into a separate *-service.xml file and place it in the ear file also. Then add a META-INF/jboss-app.xml file with this entry:

 <module>
 <service>xxx-service.xml</service>
 </module>
</jboss-app>
