datasource not bound?

I am testing a simple session bean I built that accesses a DB. Everything looks good and I can see that there is a connection from JBoss to the DB but I get this error when I use the session bean:

[INFO,Default] ERROR: javax.ejb.FinderException: LoadUser DefaultDS not bound
Could not connect to db with JNDI name of DefaultDS

I fixed it by using java:/DefaultDS instead.
