How add a datasource while JBoss is running ?

Hi,
I would like to add datasources to the JBoss without restarting a server. Is there a way to do it with some kind of API or anything ?
I would like to create some kind of administration console for managing datasources and later other features in my company.
I am using JBoss 2.4.4

Look here for mechanisms to configure MBeans at
runtime.

It is even easier in 3.0, this has direct support
for services packaged in archives that can be hot
deployed like applications.
