1. Re: jboss2.4.4/tomcat4 on winXP problems
davidjencks Feb 17, 2002 3:37 PM (in response to gmosx)1. There are some problems compiling jboss on java 1.4, so there may also be problems running it.
2. I believe that the default jboss-catalina integration includes no default content whatsoever, so you have to deploy a web application of some kind before you can see anything on port 8080. -
2. Re: jboss2.4.4/tomcat4 on winXP problems
gmosx Feb 17, 2002 5:16 PM (in response to gmosx)Thanks for the fast reply!
i dont think tha jdk1.4 is the problem.
when i unzip the jboss distribution it creates a catalina subdirectory containint a 'webapps' folder. in the ROOT subdirectory there are some jsp files... so i think pointing my browser to localhost:8080 should give me some results. Where should i place a .jsp file ?

marlon_ric Feb 18, 2002 10:09 PM (in response to gmosx)I have the same problem, after unzipping jboss2.4.4+Tomcat4. I successfuly tested jboss and tomcat(catalina) separately, but when I run jboss_with_tomcat I wasnt able to view the tomcat examples when I tried to view it on http://127.0.0.1:8080/examples.
Please somebody help, its really important to me because all my java apllications are deployed using jboss and tomcat. Thank you very much. -

8. Re: jboss2.4.4/tomcat4 on winXP problems
adrian.brock Feb 19, 2002 6:09 AM (in response to gmosx)Do the following
1) rename catalina/webapps/examples directory to
examples.war
2) copy the directory examples.war to jboss/deploy
