Hi All,
I have read through the previous postings which relate to my question and have tried what has been suggested with no success.
My problem is i am trying to start the JBoss-Tomcat integrated package when the server starts up using an /etc/init.d script which simply calls the standard tomcat startup scripts, however no matter what I try the JBoss server will shutdown when either the session that started JBoss exits or when a ctrl-C is received.
The other posts suggested a fault within the /bin/sh which retains the tty connection to the server shell and hence causes the exit, I have tried using the < /dev/null redirect but with no success!!! and this is starting to drive me insane!
If anybody has a quick solution to this I would be very grateful.
System Specs
Solaris 8 02/02
JBoss 2.4.3
Tomcat 3.2.3
Java 1.3.1-b24
thanks in advance,
Roy

All you need to do is start the server in the background. For that, edit the startup script and add an ampersand to the end of line which actually starts the server.
