We are successfully using JBoss 2.4.3 with a custom .JAR file and are attempting to make the jump to v 3.0.0. Is there a succinct document that explains the necessary configuration changes to take our current settings from certain 2.4.3 config files and move them to the new 3.0 way of doing things? I've read through the QuickStart3.0 PDF guide and it covers a great deal, but I was looking for more of a "conversion" guide that an "out-of-the-box" guide.
In short, we have to:
1. Establish our database connection (Oracle 8.1.6)
2. What are the users/roles settings for in 3.0?
3. Does JB 3.0 need to know somewhere about our classes in our .JAR file, or just let it deploy naturally?
4. Is there any changes we must make to our bean files in our .JAR file to work with new stuff in 3.0?
If this has been discussed at length already, could you provide a link to the forum message? I looked, but couldn't find any that discussed them (that had working replies anyway). Thanks!
