1. Re: how to configure Eclipse project
nusa Aug 12, 2002 6:40 PM (in response to cunparis)Salut,
There is a Tomcat plug-in from http://www.sysdeo.com/eclipse/tomcatPlugin.html.
For EJB, try http://www.genuitec.com/products.htm or http://www.mycgiserver.com/~objectlearn/
Bon courage -
2. Re: how to configure Eclipse project
cunparis Aug 13, 2002 3:44 AM (in response to cunparis)I have both these plugins installed, they start and stop the servers. But they do not address the issue of deployment, specifically partitioning code into EJB code and servlet code when the two overlap (remote interfaces could be in both sets).
No one seems to answer this question and it's quite frustrating actually. People say they've structured their code into EAR format and use hotswapping and debugging, but no one dares to say how!! -
3. Re: how to configure Eclipse project
tbfmicke Aug 13, 2002 4:00 AM (in response to cunparis)The "secret" is to use ant, http://jakarta.apache.org/ant to build your wars, ejbs and ears!
There are specific ant tasks for each kind of deployment (I think) but you can also come a long way with just using the "javac" and "jar" tasks. -
4. Re: how to configure Eclipse project
cunparis Aug 14, 2002 4:35 AM (in response to cunparis)The problem with ANT is that Eclipse automatically compiles your code, it's always compiled. But ANT isn't so automatic, you have to run ANT each time. What would be really cool is if code was always compiled and deployed to JBoss. I've heard people say they're doing this but no one explains how!

ronster Aug 19, 2002 4:40 AM (in response to cunparis)you may find your answer in this link
http://www.jboss.org/modules/bb/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=forums/ found that it works well if you are just changing logic in some code but gets a bit messy when you need to change signitures or deploy new classes -
