How can I set 2 server configurations at the same machine?

One that uses http port 7001 and other 6001. How can I make it work? I'm thinking to have production configuration and a development configuration at the same machine. Is this even possible?

Yes, this is possible.

3.2 will include a service to help you do this.

Here is the xml file it uses to translate
configurations based on <server-name>
it might help you to find the port numbers to change.

A release candidate should be out soon.

You can do it, you just have to do it by hand.
Copy ${jboss.dist}/server/default to
${jboss.dist}/server/anotherone

Then make the changes to the ports suggested by
that xml file.

To start the new server use
run.sh(bat) -c anotherone

and I put the xml file in ${jboss.dist}/server/default/debloy and
${jboss.dist}/server/anotherone/ debloy ?
right?

If you have 3.2, you put the xml where you like.
You add a binding service to the top of
jboss-service.xml

If you have 3.0.x, you'll have to go through the
*-service.xml identified in the xml and change the ports
manually.

Hi,

I'm trying to do this, too. I'm using 3.2.0RC1 and trying to follow the instructions in the JBoss Admin and Development book.

I uncomment the Service Bindings section in jboss-service.xml, and point it to the service-bindings.xml file available at the SourceForge URL you provided. However, when I try to run, I get:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for: org.jboss.services.binding.ServiceBindingManager

Browsing through the various libs, I certainly don't see any such class, or even an org.jboss.services package.

Is this supposed to work yet?
