JBoss started but port 8082 not showing anything

I downloaded 3.0.3 binary version for Win32 and I ran the default server. Now the getting started docs, say that when accessing port 8082 a list of all the components installed should be displayed. Instead I get an Internet explorer page not found error. Port 8080 works as mentioned... a 404 error is returned.

try searching for 8082 in these forums - this question must have come up a hundred times.
