    Jboss 3.0.3 Problems

    jpat

I've managed to get the JBoss installation running ok under winXP, but I haven't been able to successfully connect to any of the webapps. I know that we shouldn't be using the http://localhost:8082, but even the http://localhost:8080/jmx-console/index.jsp doesn't work.

I'm getting an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. My JAVA_HOME environment is set up correctly as I am using it for other programs.

Would appreciate any tips or hints on how to fix this. Much thanks in advance

I found the problem. It ended up that because I was using Internet Explorer and had the "Automatically Detect Settings" selected under the LAN settings that it didn't like. So at least, this might help others in getting their JBoss up and running.

Also a lesson that I should probably stop using Microsoft stuff.

Mozilla is really very good these days.

juha is right on that. All our IE apps work straight away on mozilla now. But mainly it's good because of the mouse gestures.
