Recommended Download for Mac OS X

I am running OS X 10.2 and need to know what is the best download package for OS X.

I have downloaded JBoss-3.0.4_Tomcat-4.1.12.zip
but when I run run.sh I can't tell if all is working fine, the several pages of text that result are a bit confusing. Is there an easy way to test if the server is running? Finally are there OSX jboss technical folks available on a fee based telephone support call?

This should display the mbean management application if the server is up and running.
