I have been attempting to use the RichFaces dropDownMenu in a web page developed using Netbeans 5.5 and the Visual Web Pack (Sun's JSF implementation). I followed the installation instructions in the Developer's Guide, but as soon as the web.xml file is changed to include the RichFaces ajax4jsf filter Netbeans refuses to display or allow me to change the page. I get a "Missing body element" error.
Can RichFaces be used with the Netbeans 5.5 (and its components) plus JBoss bundle or, as I have begun to believe, is this hopeless? If anyone has tried or been able to use these together I would appreciate knowing.
