1. Re: Schedule to RichFaces 3.1
sergeysmirnov Aug 20, 2007 5:13 PM (in response to lowpis)Where is this info on the wiki? I told about the end of this summer before we start the merging Ajax4jsf and Richfaces (http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=112220)
We will release RC3 this week. Usually, we release and test four RC before GA. -

lowpis Aug 20, 2007 5:26 PM (in response to lowpis)Hi Sergey!
Thanks for your reply! The info I told is here: http://labs.jboss.com/wiki/RichFaces
It's a lot better to use a RC3 instead of nightly builds.
Do you have any approximate date to RC4 or GA? Or is it too early to know this?
Thanks -
3. Re: Schedule to RichFaces 3.1
sergeysmirnov Aug 20, 2007 7:48 PM (in response to lowpis)Usually, RC is tested during the week. So, RC4 = RC3 + 1 week.

mgrouch Aug 25, 2007 12:35 PM (in response to lowpis)Is RC3 feature frozen? Is there any chance you could do
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/RF-704
for 3.1 release?
Thanks -

7. Re: Schedule to RichFaces 3.1
mgrouch Aug 28, 2007 12:02 PM (in response to lowpis)While changing order of columns is not supported
pending http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/RF-704
is there any workaround.
Can achieve same using c:forEach around rich:column ?
Any ideas?
Thanks -
8. Re: Schedule to RichFaces 3.1
sergeysmirnov Aug 28, 2007 12:10 PM (in response to lowpis)binding on the table itself and go ahead with what you want.
Generalization of this task is dozens time harder than what you can do on the level of your application. I do not think we are going to accomplish this task in the future. JSF, as it is now, is not good to do so. -
9. Re: Schedule to RichFaces 3.1
mgrouch Aug 28, 2007 12:21 PM (in response to lowpis)QuipuKit has exact functionality as requested by RF-704 so it seems it is
possible with JSF.
If I use binding of the table to backing bean how can it help
with setting columns order? Isn't it decided in renderer?
I've looked at
http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/richfaces/trunk/ui/dataTable/src/main/java/org/richfaces/component/UIDataTable.javapublic Iterator columns() { return new FilterIterator(getChildren().iterator(), isColumn); }
What is FilterIterator? Can it be used for changing column order?
Thanks -
10. Re: Schedule to RichFaces 3.1
ishabalov Aug 28, 2007 5:24 PM (in response to lowpis)FilterIterator comes from Apache collections. Column order actually comes from getChildren() which is defined in JSF implementation. It returns java.util.List
Sure you can do whatever you need with elements of this collection, for example change order. -
11. Re: Schedule to RichFaces 3.1
mgrouch Aug 28, 2007 5:29 PM (in response to lowpis)So overriding getChildren should do the trick? Or something else is needed?
Thanks
