Why jboss takes this much time for starting?

    anandan

      Hi,

I am using Jboss-3.0.7 & Tomcat-4.1.24 bundle in a production Environment. I have deployed four java web applications in war format in the Jboss default server. Whenever I make any changes to my java files and compile them, the change is not getting immediately reflected. So, I have to restart the JBoss server each time. Whenever i restart the jboss, it takes atleast 5 minutes to come up. I want to reduce this.

      My Environment is

      Os : windows 2000 server

      Memory : 512 MB RAM

Since some default services are not used, I have removed following services from default server to increase the performence.

      1.jmx-console.war
      2.jmx-rmi-adapter.sar
      3.jmx-ejp-connector-server.sar
      4.jmx-invoker-adapter-server.sar
      5.counter-service.xml
      6.hssqldb-service.xml
      7.jbossmq-destinations-service.xml
      8.jbossmq-service.xml
      9.mail-service.xml
      10. schedule-manager-service.xml
      11.scheduler-service.xml

Can any body help me to solve these two issuses?

1.Why jboss takes aroung 5 min to start and how to reduce this (in my environment )?

2.What configuration should I set for hot deployment of java files?

      Thanks,
