Virtual directory

Hi Jboss Users,
I am trying to figure out the concept of virtual directory in the xml configuration files of JBOSS, which holds the absolute path name or relative path name of the location that contains application specific files such as properties, installation etc which can be accessed by EJB,JSP,Servlets from outside their container. I used the concept of virtual directory in orion application server, however I am not able to come across anything similar to that in Jboss. Could anyone please help me in this area.
