socket exception at startup

i have jboss 3.2.1 running with tomcat 4.1.24, when jboss starts some how it throws an exception on catalina. i am not sure but here is the top level message. HttpConnector [443] [4] process.parse
java.io.NullPointerException
org.apache.catalina.socketInputStream.readRequestLine(some apache class)

Any idea?? any help will be appreciated. Thanks

oops mistake its org.apache.catalina.connector.http.socketInputStream.readRequestLine(someclass)
