jonlee Oct 13, 2003 8:29 PM (in response to houstonbernie)The problem is a Windows/Java network binding issue since Java needs to use the underlying OS to get to the network stack. Check the FAQ forum for the 127.0.0.1 question. It will give a range of prescriptions to try to solve the problem. The problem is not with the client but the JVM JBoss is running on is having trouble with the network binding.

Our installations will only be accessed by local clients running on the same machine. We are using a mobile database (Sybase SQL Anywhere) that only needs a network connection when synchronizing with our main database (Oracle). This will only happen when users come into the office.
