darranl Oct 17, 2003 6:22 AM (in response to aparaapara)You could implement a JMX service that would be started when your application is deployed.

aparaapara Oct 17, 2003 9:25 AM (in response to aparaapara)Is there a way to deploy such a service with my .ear? In other words, the code will live in my .ear, so I could not put this service in to the "global" classpath on the server and deploy it in some "global" config.
Can I put something into JBOSS.XML that would allow me to deploy this when my .ear is deployed?
Thanks.

user-service.xml in the deploy directory.

darranl Oct 20, 2003 2:57 AM (in response to aparaapara)Yes you can deploy JMX services within your .ear
Basically you can package the JMX service in a SAR with it's own deployment descriptor, the SAR can be added to your ear alongside everything else that you are deploying and you would then add a jboss-app.xml to the ear to instruct the deployer that the sar should be deployed. -
5. Re: Running a client inside of JBOSS JVM...
aparaapara Oct 20, 2003 4:15 PM (in response to aparaapara)Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for.
One more question, however. Without support for application-client.xml, does this mean that any clients needs to access the "actual" JNDI names of the deployed homes?
Thanks.
