.sar Archive as a deployement unit

Hi All,

I was wondering is it an acceptible practice to use a sar archive as a deployment unit to wrap the deployment of X number of ears, jars, and wars?

I am trying to isolate my whole deployment (currently it is 5 ears that contain duplicate jars), into something simpler so the identical jars are shared between the ears and wars at the sar level and use the sar to isolate from the classloader issues

Yes it is. And that was one of the motivations behind SAR archive as well.
