End user interface?

I use JBoss 3.0.8. While starting, it produces a lot of output in the console window (on Windows). Is there any sample code to give a hint on providing end user-friendly interface? I mean, when I start JBoss, I'd like to see something like "Starting XXX server..." dialog and, once it's started, "Server XXX" started". Perhaps, with the ability to stop the running JBoss instance.

Install is as a service so the end user does not see the logging information.
