Echo and internationalization

Hi!

I have a echo based application running on JBoss 3.2.3 with Tomcat 4.1. Until now I’ve only have to use a standard western character set but now I want to be able to use UTF-8 for writing and displaying text. Do I have to do any special configuration in my Java code. When I write Asian UTF-8 characters and display them to the screen or try to save them to my database all I get are questions signs for each and every asian character. Do you have any solutions to this problem?

You have to buy an Asian computer to get it to work. Good luck!

I've got it working, no Asian computer needed. though I needed the newest MySQL version 4.1.4a gamma and some changes to jboss xml-files.
