Issues with sockets (Too many open files)

When this system gets under a load I end up with

2004-08-13 13:36:24,883 WARN [org.jboss.mq.il.oil.OILServerILService] Client request resulted in a server exception:
org.jboss.mq.SpyJMSException: Could not write to the tranaction log.; - nested throwable: (java.io.FileNotFoundException: /orion/export/orion/jboss-3.0.2/server/default/db/jbossmq/file/QUEUE.alarmMonitorQueue/ID%058190-10924185848802 (Too many open files))

Can someone lead me in some direction on this?

Did you ever resolve this issue? We are seeing the same problem.
