running jboss without embedded tomcat

our client requires the standard version of tomcat installed (not embedded within jboss).

can this work, and if so how do I turn off the loading of the embedded tomcat?

I should add that our client said that we are not to touch, modify, or insert any files into the tomcat directory structure
