    Un-responsive JBoss Application Server

      We have 2 configurations of JBoss 3.2.3 using integrated tomcat 4.1 and jetty 4.2.14 when we run our J2EE application in either environment we are able to use it successfully for a period of time. However after an indeterminable period we get the following error log entry being repeated continually.

      ERROR [org.jboss.deployment.scanner.AbstractDeploymentScanner$ScannerThread] Scanning failed; continuing java.lang.NullPointerException

      At this point the application becomes un-responsive and the only thing we can do is re-start JBoss and the application.

      We have done a dump and there are no locked threads.

      If anybody can throw any light on this it would be much appreciated.
