Unable to display PDF's

This has probably been done to death but I have tried everything in the posts that I have found and to no avail.

I have installed jboss 3.2.5 and have created a simple web application. I have placed a pdf document in the applications root. Without resource security enabled for the application the pdf gets displayed in the IE6 browser perfectly. However, when I enable resource security, IE6 tries to download the pdf document instead of displaying it in the browser.

Mozilla does not do this and displays the document just fine.

I am using the LdapLoginModule for JAAS security.

Can anybody help me with this. I am evaluating jboss as a possible substitute to Websphere and this is a showstopper.

I am having the same problem, and it is definitely IE with SSL bug.

You can do with it like that, and this is also possible (read that MS KB article)

1. Create a filter with this in doFilter:

res.setHeader("Cache-Control", "");
res.setHeader("Pragma", "");


2. Map filter to pdf's:

<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>Cache-Control filter</filter-name>
<url-pattern>*.pdf</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>

And that's it ;). Works nice with jboss-3.2.6 (tc5).
