1. Re: what if I don't have tools.jar in my classpath?
starksm64 Jan 25, 2005 12:01 AM (in response to mazz)Only compilation of jsp files requires tools.jar, and with tomcat 5.5 even this is supposed to be eliminated.

2. Re: what if I don't have tools.jar in my classpath?
irenewang2005 Jan 26, 2005 3:58 PM (in response to mazz)When I created a debug session for JBoss 4.0.x, I got this error message:
[JDK]: Could not locate tools.jar. Unexpected results may occur. Make sure that you have selected a JDK with its path pointing to its home directory not to its JRE.
Could anyone please tell me what that means?
Do I need tools.jar? According to the last message, it seems like I don't need it. Can someone please confirm. I'm new to JBoss....
Thanks!!! -
3. Re: what if I don't have tools.jar in my classpath?
scooby Feb 9, 2005 6:18 PM (in response to mazz)Hi,
Go to Window / Preferences / Java / Installed JREs, and edit your default JRE entry to make sure the home directory points to where you installed the JDK. This should remove the warning you're seeing.
Cheers,
Sean
