2. Re: JBoss 4.0 Dynamic runtime loading (Class.forName) proble
michaelf Feb 14, 2005 8:57 AM (in response to michaelf)Hi!
I have one EAR.
This EAR contains the stateless session bean and the Simple class.
I am trying to create Simple from the stateless session bean
How should I package the files?
Best regards,
Michael -
3. Re: JBoss 4.0 Dynamic runtime loading (Class.forName) proble
darranl Feb 14, 2005 9:03 AM (in response to michaelf)You say the ear contains the session bean,
Do you mean the session bean is packaged within a jar file, the jar itself is then packaged in the ear? Is the class 'Simple' in the same archive as the session bean or is it in the ear or another archive? -

michaelf Feb 14, 2005 10:20 AM (in response to michaelf)Yes, the session bean is packaged within a jar file, the jar itself is then packaged in the ear.
The class 'Simple' is in the same archive as the session bean.

5. Re: JBoss 4.0 Dynamic runtime loading (Class.forName) proble
darranl Feb 14, 2005 10:58 AM (in response to michaelf)Is your class 'Simple' actually in the default package or is it contained within a package? Does the structure of your jar file reflect all package names correctly?
Does your class 'Simple' reference any other classes? If so are the classes also available?
FYI - I am working with JBoss 4.0 using both the Class.forName approach and the getContextClassLoader approach without any issues so I think your problem must relate to a minor packaging issue. -
