Hello,
I am attempting to run JBOSS 3.2.4 on Windows 2003 and am having some "weird" issues.
I have setup the exact same JBOSS setup on other Windows 2003 servers without any issues.
When I start JBOSS, I get errors relating to ports being in use. This occurs "most" of the time. Sometimes it runs fine.
The port numbers that come up are firstly 1098, closely followed by 4444.
As far as I can see, using netstat, these ports are NOT in use.
Does anybody know what may be causing this issue?
Kind regards,
Nathan Goss
Remember that some apps use random ports to start up. Veritas does this a lot, and we have this issue here where I work. We use a program called Cports that shows ALL ports in use on a specific server. You can kill process and tasks too with this little app.....a very nice find. You might want to consider reserved ports too. -
