Is it possible to run a web project without making war?

Hi All,
I have deployed successfuly my web project by making the war using Eclipse JbossIDE.
But i want to run the project without making war.That means i want to run the project by using my src,WEB,WEB-INF directly.
I don't know that it is possible or not.
Please give me the solution.

Instead of copying myapp.war to the deploy directory, create a myapp.war directory, place the war file contents (index.jsp, WEB-INF/web.xml, etc.) into that directory, and move that directory to the deploy directory.

Don't know how to do this using the IDE, I use Ant to build and deploy.
