peterj Aug 12, 2006 4:43 PM (in response to lazybee26)Your best bet for Linux installation is to download and unpack the .zip binary from the downloads page (http://labs.jboss.com/portal/jbossas/download). The only prerequisite is that you need a JDK, either 1.4.2 or 5.0. Do not use the JDK that comes with your Linux distro. By the way, unpacking the zip file is the only step required to install JBoss AS.

Our web app under JBOSS, is going to be deployed in multiple physical locations, and so I was hoping if I use YUM, then upgrading all locations with jboss upgrades would be easier, if i can do the installation using an RPM file with the help of YUM tool.
But I'm having a hard time finding a YUM repository with .RPM files for Jboss. -
