Keep JBoss running when database is down

Hi,

I am currently using Jboss 4.2.0 connecting to Oracle database.
Do you think it is a good idea to keep JBoss running when the database goes down? Does it restore the connection when the database goes up?

If your application depends on this database and this resource is down, then there is no point in allowing access to your application during this period.
