how to Optimize jboss and its contents?

Hello everybody,
I am having problem with Jboss. I am using jboss-4.2.2.GA, 512MB RAM, window OS and jboss default contents. When I run jboss, it takes a lot of resources and web pages also display very slowly. Is there any way to open web pages faster? or is there any way to configure Jboss so that it works faster with less resources in use?

Get more RAM. 512MB is barely enough for Windows XP.

Peterj Thank you for your suggestion. Now I have upgrade to 1GB RAM. It is working fast. But the main problem is that the server containing jboss runs without stopping for months and after sometime pages open very slowly taking a lot of time.

Could you provide me the suggestion?

Also, I am using ejb jar and postgres database. Is the use of ejb jar making this problem ? it is because while running jboss, CPU usage is max. approx. above 80%.
Also, this web page is opened by multi-users at a same time.

Is postgresql on the same box as jbossas? If so, you will need more RAM, possibly 2GB.
