dimitris Jul 2, 2008 9:06 AM (in response to jaikiran)If it were a packed .ear, wouldn't you have to redeploy the whole thing if a part of the .ear changes?
It seems logical to me. -
2. Re: JBoss5CR1- Changes to nested deployments redeploys the e
jaikiran Jul 2, 2008 9:17 AM (in response to jaikiran)In earlier versions (till JBoss-4.2.x and i guess even JBoss-5 Beta), only changes to *top-level* xml files (application.xml for EAR) triggered a redeploy. Even the wiki http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/RedeployAnApplicationWhenChangeAFileInAnExplodedDeploymentDirectory mentions touching the top level xml file.
So going forward (starting CR1) even nested deployment configuration files, will be watched for changes? -

dimitris Jul 2, 2008 10:58 AM (in response to jaikiran)I believe this is due to the much richer/stricter control the new deployers have over deployment dependencies.
Unless there are good reasons not wanting this behaviour. -

I don't see any, right now.
Thanks!
