Could someone look at msystems problem at http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=4062889#4062889 - in essence the rendered flag is evaluated when the page is rerendered by a4j, but seemingly outside the datatable, causing the el evaluation to fail. You'll need to download the attachment in JIRA, download Seam 2.0.0.BETA, run seam setup and seam update-project, then it should just deploy to jboss.
