Dynamic Discovery in 3.0.6

It appears that in 3.0.6 I can set the client to use different values for the dynamic discover, however there is no way to get the server to use anything other than
the default.

Is this correct and if so will the next version allow changing the dynamic discovery values on the server?

Yes, that was missing, that will be fixed in the next release (that is already in CVS though)
