linux problems with cluster seeing each other

jboss 3.0.7, each running on Linux (Redhat 7.3). No special configuration, just untarred the download and ran the "all" configuration. Exact same setup runs under Windows 2000. Both machines are on the same subnet.

Also, I can't get Jboss 3.2 to see each other in a cluster configuration on Windows or Linux.

Any help?!? Thanks in advance.

default RH installation have a firewall installed that prevents multicast packets, etc. to be seen between boxes i.e. they are sent but never received.
