I setup a JBoss 3.2.1 Cluster (2 nodes) with Tomcat 4.1.24 on a W2k. I use an Apache 2.0.46 with mod_jk2.
I do not have sticky session and therefore do not use the tomcat jvmRoute flag. I need HttpSession replication.
Now everything looks fine except the HttpSession replication. Whenever mod_jk2 is handing over to the other node all the session data is gone.
My sessions are serializable and "distributable" is added to web.xml. I enabled the logs for the tomcat41 area and can see sessions storing and loading, but....
Has anybody a running system as described above. Is the constellation with 3.2.1 and mod_jk2 buggy?
