Session Replication not working properly

I have clustering on 2 linux m/c.Both the machines see each other ,a h/w switch is doing the loadbalancing and failover.My problem is

1.if i start application at node 1 everything seems to be going fine but when i start application at node 2 it keeps on logging me out and bringing me back to the login page(which is the start of my application)and the same behaviour starts on the node 1 application it logs me out and brings me to the login page.
On the server i get the message
" stream closed "

Wanted to ask is there any way to check if session replication is working or not
